Podcast question
If part of your marketing strategy is frequent guests spots on podcasts in your niche genre, should you invest in some audio equipment? If so any recommendations?

@Jeremy Shapiro Good advice anyways
Connecting Deeper
Your readers know you write, but what else do they know about you? The largest number of responses and follows have come from photos with me on various motorcycles. Although I don't drive, I ride "backpack" or "*itch", but it's a part of me rarely seen by my readers. I strongly recommend that you share your hobbies with your readers and potential readers. Connect with them on a deeper level to make them WANT to learn more about you as a person and as a writer. Happy connecting, my friends!

Book Launch Kit question
When it comes to investing in things for my business, I sometimes struggle to see how they will benefit me. For those of you who have purchased the Book Launch Kit, how has it helped you? What impact has it had on your book launch journey?

I completely relate to that hesitation, Julie it’s so hard to look at a tool or kit and instantly see how it translates to your unique journey. What kind of book are you launching? Sometimes breaking down your specific goals makes it a lot easier to see what kind of support you actually need.
Question about book award
My book was just awarded a IPPY bronze award for cover design. I entered that category because I wanted my fabulous designer Domini Dragoone to get some recognition. But can I claim this as an award for my book as long as I also credit her?

@Rob Cole I agree with you
KDP Select
I’ve got a kid’s book that should be ready to publish by the end of June and I will also have a coloring book published as an add on. I’m thinking about Select to try to land some reviews. I could see a world where I can hit 100-200 sales friends and family and I’d like to think 1/4 will leave reviews for me. I could be a little too optimistic…how early should I go Select? In my mind I want to move hard copies a couple of weeks before giving everyone easy access to get reviews and interest rolling…hopefully. Look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts…

Congrats on being so close to the finish line for June, Chris! Love that you're pairing the kid's book with a coloring book, that’s a fantastic add-on strategy. Regarding KDP Select, your instinct to get hard copies out to friends and family first is actually a solid move to build that initial momentum. If you time the Select digital launch right after, those early readers can leave verified reviews immediately. Are you planning a hard launch date for the physical copies, or doing a soft drop to your inner circle first?
