Query on time-sensitive discounted pricing
Hey Dan, Need some help, if you don't mind. On sales calls, I give people a discount that I tell them is available only if they enroll within the next 24 hours. Some take advantage of this offer and some don't. However, those people who don't take advantage of this offer later come back and ask for the same discount. I have tried pushing for the original undiscounted price but it seems like they just can't seem to accept the original price once they've seen the discounted price. And to be honest, it's better for me to still give them the discount than to turn them away (because it wasn't something like a supply-constrained discount). So, my question is: - - what to do in such situations? Is it ok to extend the same old discounted price later, or should I stick with the original price once the discount window has expired (and lose the customer, most likely)? -
