So I caught a discussion the other day on the definition of a Signature Fragrance. I've always heard it defined as the scent you wear all the time and that people associate with you. It's what you wear most often and would be the fragrance that people would describe you with. But the discussion presented an alternative definition that I find myself agreeing with. A signature scent should be something that you personally feel like represents the way you most want to smell. It's the fragrance that fits you like a glove and and makes you feel like... YOU. It may or may not be the thing you wear the most often - that would be your utility scent, not your signature. And it may or may not be the thing that other people associate with you. Instead, it is the fragrance that YOU most identify yourself with. As an example, the fragrance I love the most, and that makes me feel the most like ME, is Tom Ford's Black Orchid EDP and EDP Reserve. They are very similar, and I wear them interchangeably. But I only wear it on special occasions, or when I'm not planning much and will be mostly by myself for the day. (as a side note, I once wore it on a casual coffee date, and she told me it was the most beautiful scent she had ever smelled. I wear it now every time I know I'm going to see her). My utility fragrance - the one that I wear most often, and that I think more people would associate with me and how I smell, is Byredo Gypsy Water. I've worn that one more than any other fragrance I own, and have gone through nearly 1/3 of the bottle in a year. It's what I wear when I'm going to be around a lot of people, or when I'm meeting with a potential client, hanging out with my goddaughters, or just because it's Tuesday and I don't feel like spinning the fragrance wheel or playing games with my selection for the day. So what say you? How would you define your Signature? And have you found it, yet?

Si può usare anche all’inizio dell’autunno se vuoi un’evasione tropicale, e penso che si possa indossare tutto l’anno. È decisamente una superstar per il clima caldo ma abbastanza versatile per qualsiasi stagione. • My Take as a Huge Fan: Voi sapete già che sono ossessionato dal lavoro di Lorenzo Pazzaglia e compro tutto alla cieca, ma Tropikalys Karma è un genio di livello superiore! Questo profumo porta i frutti tropicali su un’altra dimensione — perfezione assoluta. Ho provato anche Gin Fusion ed è altrettanto top tier e blind buy worthy, ma ne parlerò in un altro post. Ieri sera l’ho indossato al Pier 39 Fisherman’s Wharf con la mia dolce metà. Cameriere e camerieri non riuscivano a smettere di annusarmi — è stato esilarante. Poi ho guardato verso il fondo del ristorante e c’era Lorenzo che cenava con altri due ragazzi. Non volevo interrompere la sua cena quindi non ho detto niente al personale. Che momento piccolo-mondo assurdo! Lui e la sua azienda sono persone completamente umili e fantastiche — dal cuore buono, gentili e veri signori. La sua passione si vede davvero attraverso le sue interazioni!!!

I heard on line some where if you bring in an empty bottle of a perfume that they sell. They will charge you a much better price instead of buying a whole new bottle. Has anyone tried doing that here? I just finished my Bleu de Chanel EDP was thinking of trying it out myself. Just wondering if anyone has been successful doing so? Thanks

Here is a new Michael Malul. This one to me smells fantastic. This one has an excellent pear and plum with a slight floral in the background off my skin. Best way to describe it is rose water. A very fresh and Very clean uplifting scent. Perfect for the office/ Spring / Summer/ daytime/ longevity was 6 hours and projection of about 1 ft. Presentation is excellent as always with Michael Malul scents. Beautiful bottle and packaging with a standard great atomizers. I would say smell this one before you buy so you know what the floral note smells like. This one leans masculine to me but could still be unisex.if you guys haven’t checked out any of Michael Malul lineup, they are a house well worth a deep dive. They are one of my top 3 houses that I wear most often.

Need help if anyone has smelled Michael Malul Ginger + Mist and M. Micallef Gintonic. Which is better and last longer. I've gotten my nose on ginger+mist but not the other. Very good scent and invigorating but have to know which lasts longer.
