February Qi Gong Check-In
🌿 February Qi Gong Check-In Welcome to February’s Qi Gong Check-in . This is a supportive space to show up for your practice, build consistency, and move together as a community. Whether you joined a live session, practiced along with YouTube inside the community, or completed a self-paced course, it all counts. What matters most is that you showed up. This thread will stay pinned for daily check-ins, connection, and encouragement. ⸻ ✅ How to Check In Each Day After you finish your practice, post a short check-in using these four steps: 1️⃣ Intention What did you want to focus on or cultivate today? 2️⃣ Practice What practice did you do today? Live session, YouTube, or self-paced are all welcome. 3️⃣ After How do you feel after completing your practice? One short sentence is perfect. 4️⃣ Visual Share a photo or short video of your practice, your screen, or your setup. ⸻ ✨ Sample Check-In Intention: To slow down and reconnect with my breath Practice: Live Session 12-21-2025 After: Feeling grounded, calm, and present Photo or video attached ⸻ There’s no right or wrong way to participate here. Show up in a way that feels good to you, support others when you can, and enjoy the process. One day. One breath. One practice.

@Johanna Versteden as an avid pro cycling fan, I am watching races on TV in your country a lot, especially during cyclocross season. I hope to get there for next year's season. Your countrymen and women rule the sport!

Last 2 mornings tuned into the taped 30 minute sessions Daily QiGong. Loved these. Also glanced at the chair yoga sessions which are compelling to me. Looking forward to exploring that in the evenings. I find myself going through the QiGong poses in my head while driving to the office which is a Daily 45 min commute. Im tired of podcasts and this mental experience is surprisingly meditative and calming. Lets make this our peaceful day!
Walk for peace
It is not about TaiChi and Qigong, but in the same line and also so important for the whole world and to feed the positive energy towards peace. Did you hear about the walk of peace in US? A group of 18 - 19 monks, often accompanied by their rescue dog Aloka, who has become known as the “Peace Dog.” They are connected to the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Temple in Fort Worth, Texas. They live a traditional Buddhist life, guided by meditation, compassion, and mindfulness. They are walking from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. Through the southeastern part of the US. It is a journey of about 2,300 miles (around 3,700 kilometers). They started on October 26, 2025, and plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. around mid-February 2026. 'It is a message of peace, loving-kindness, and compassion, shown simply by their presence on the road. Step by step.' It’s the choice to make peace visible without arguing for it. No slogans to debate, no demand to agree. Just bodies moving through the landscapes, day after day, letting presence do the talking. They are now just north of South Carolina, moving through central to northern North Carolina (about 86–87 days into the journey). Every day, thousands of people come to greet them. It is deeply moving to see how many people carry them and this intention in their hearts ☸️ 🙏 https://walkforpeace.short.gy/live-map dhammacetiya.com https://www.facebook.com/walkforpeaceusa/

They just came through Raleigh NC and we are anticipating their passage through Richmond! The turnout of spectators has been remarkable but not surprising given what we are living through right now.

@Johanna Versteden I was not able to join in person due to work but the interstate was shut down as they approached Richmond last week. The turnout/following has been so inspiring as well as their message; we can all be the peace we seek. Wishing all of us a day of peace.
FYI,,, RETIREMENT MUCH MORE THAN YOU THINK!!
Retirement (for me) has proven to be more than just a condition you find yourself in.... I was born in Lubbock Texas,, ( THE PANHANDLE ) raised on and taught Cowboy ethics,, (God, Family, County and State) but also that ALL PEOPLE COUNT!!! That a Man or Woman's worth and value is measured on his or hers commitment and honor shown to All the Above and to how,, WORK AND PROVIDE THEIR FAMILY'S.. I've WORKED ( HARD,, AN HONEST) over 56 years,,, THEN CAME RETIREMENT!! I still wake up at 3:30 am. BUT have NO JOB to go too.... I HAVE NO JOB !!! The EMOTIONAL STRAIN of that STATEMENT has been HARD on me!! I HAVE CONTINUED TO " DO SOMETHING QI EVERYDAY" And it has helped,, a lot!! But also HAD to learn the difference between "I DON'T HAVE A JOB" and "I DON'T NEED A JOB" also that "SOCIAL SECURITY AND PENSION IS NOT CHARITY" NOR ASSISTANCE FOR THE UNEMPLOYED,,, BUT A MONETARY RETURN ON ONE'S LONG TERM SELF-INVESTMENT!! NOW THAT'S ("RUNNING OFF AT THE MOUTH") SORRY GUYS AND GALS,, BUT I NEEDED TO GET OUT OF MY SYSTEM!!! "I'M BACK"!!! PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES FOR MY SILENCE AN ABSENCE FROM THE GROUP!! "LET'S DO SOMETHING QI TODAY,, EVERYDAY" AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY,,, "SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS HAPPENING"!!! SOMETHING WONDERFUL HAS HAPPENED FOR ME!!!

Top 5 Most Comfortable Tai Chi Shoes
Hey Everyone! Check out this video we made to address one of our most asked questions, “What shoes are you wearing?” This was a lot of fun to prepare for and make. We hope you enjoy! 😊 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kHI5KSKkakg&time_continue=2&source_ve_path=MjM4NTE&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwhatsapp.com%2F&embeds_referring_origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwhatsapp.com

Great video. After years as a competitive cyclist wearing the "stiffest" carbon soled shoes I could afford, its nice to be considering footwear that will help with many of the conditions I have developed over the years as a cyclist and high heeled wearer. ( mortons neuroma, plantar fascitis, Taylor's bunion, need I say more?) Barefoot and wide toe boxed shoes are my pain free life now! Funny, my Dad was a high school wrestling coach and I always wanted to play the sport - wasnt an option for girls in the 70s...perhaps a pair of wrestling shoes will give me some satisfaction! 😁 appreciate all the pro tips.
