Heirloom Monday
Woke up with a bit of Nostalgia today. After seeing my Mother in Law this weekend and realizing that she is really slowing down 😢. It made me think how time waits for no one. It also got me thinking about my Partner In Crime, Bob!! My Father in Law and business partner. We worked side by side for 15yrs and even though he left us WAY too early 24yrs ago there isn't a day that goes by that I don't see a picture of us together in my office or think about all of the crazy stupid things we would do together!! It is truly amazing to me that we actually thought some of these things were a good idea at the time!! 🤣. As a serial sentimentalist and the proud custodian of heirloom watches this is one that speaks to me in a very special way. Bob was a guy who was very smart, very driven and was tough as nails. If he liked you he would move mountains for you even at his own expense. He was a great judge of character (not withstanding his son in law 😜). I was more of A Character which is why we got along so well. 😎 When we were growing the business and I would go on road trips selling or delivering I would leave between 3-4am and a lot of long days I would get back to park the trailer until 1am. He was my first call EVERY MORNING and my last call EVERY NIGHT. Just to check in with me. It didn't't hurt that he had the bladder of a flea so he was up anyway, but he would call every hour or so during the night. If he knew I was coming home late, he would get up in the middle of the night drive down to our yard and open the gate for my arrival so he just just make my life that much easier!! 🙏 This was BOB!! I love to keep his and others memories alive while I wear their watches they so graciously trusted me with. Hope you all have an outstanding Monday!!

Bingo. Great choice
WOTD - Saturday 4 July
To celebrate and pay my respects to our communities US members I wore my Praesidus Iwo Jima. Such a unique watch and one I would probably not have bought myself. I am however very very pleased to own this piece.

So very thoughtful and such a great watch. Have a special respect for Aussies as well that predates WWII and our ally relationship by a few centuries as a Scots/Irish descendent. But today I celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence from tyranny available to anyone in any country willing to fight for it that just happened to be signed by some brilliant but flawed wig wearing colonist 250 years ago on our continent.
Team Watches!
So for the last couple months, I’ve been coaching my youngest son’s coach pitch baseball team. Luckily, we are the hometown Reds, so I already have lots of hats and apparel. Every game, I would wear my Oris Aquis with the red strap to match our uniform. Tonight we played for the championship. One of the dads, who I have known for quite some time, decided to wear his Oris with the red strap to match! He has the most incredible collection that I’ve ever seen everything from Casio to Patek to Vacheron, he has it. He decided to wear this one tonight for the team spirit! Unfortunately, we lost a heartbreaker, but at least we made it to the championship!

Now that is a cool
WOTM - June 2026
I am sure it comes as no surprise that the Tudor Royal 41 has taken the title of WOTM again with six wears. That marks five of the six months as a winner, with the Crazy month of April that was the Challenge to wear every watch in the collection at least once. Runners up this month were tied with four wears each were the Erebus Ascent 41 Blue MoP and Wade Wilson. Looking at WOTY numbers, if you add positions two and three together they only just nudge the Tudor out of 1st place. I wonder what it is going to look like by the end of the year, noting a 3 week trip coming up in Sept-Oct to Japan 🤔
