Who else drank the Altra Koolaid only to relegate 4 pairs to their work shoe rotation? I wanted to love them on the trail… turns out I only love them in the school hallways and classrooms.

My addias want to “retire” but we don’t play like that here….. run them until both of our souls are destroyed :)
RUN ROULETTE is here...... "February Challenge" .... LFG!
🎰 RUN ROULETTE CHALLENGE Eat Cake Run Club….. Run Roulette is exactly what it sounds like: you don’t choose the miles… the MILES choose you. Every day is a gamble. Some days are light. Some days are spicy. All days are about showing up. 🌀 HOW IT WORKS - Every morning, we will ask Siri or Alexa to give a random number between 1 and 26 - Whatever number is given = that day’s required miles Example: Number is 5 → run 5 miles Number is 18 → run 18 miles Number is 26 → buckle up 😅 - Miles can be completed however you need: One run or multiple runs Outdoor or treadmill Run, jog, walk, shuffle—we don’t care how fast, just that you do the miles 👀 PLAY ALONG & EARN POINTS Then head to the Run Roulette Chat Post Thread. You can earn points in TWO ways: 1️⃣ Guess the Miles (1 Point) - Guess what the next day’s miles will be - Guesses must be posted before the daily miles are announced - Correct guess = 1 point 2️⃣ Run the Miles (1 Point) - Complete the exact miles required for that day - Post your run (screenshot, photo, or app log) - Complete the miles = 1 point 💡 You can earn 2 points in a single day if you: - Guess correctly and - Run the miles 🏆 PRIZES At the end of the month: - Points will be totaled - The member with the most points wins Winner receives: - 💵 $100 CASH - 👕 Exclusive, unreleased Eat Cake Run Club apparel (free) If there’s a tie, we’ll handle it the Eat Cake way (details announced if needed). 🎂 THE GOOD STUFF! - This challenge is about fun, consistency, and doing hard things - You are always encouraged to: Listen to your body Scale when needed Skip a day if life or health requires it Run Roulette is here… LETS GOOO!

EAT CAKE RUN CLUB BIG RUN WEEKEND – EP: 26
Week 26 is proof that consistency doesn’t need applause—it needs backbone. LOTS OF IT. Big Run Weekend has never been about perfect splits, flawless weather, or waiting until we “feel ready.” It’s about choosing the work anyway. When the alarm hits too early. When your legs feel heavy. When life feels loud. This is where Eat Cake Run Club separates itself. This is where WE GO ALL IN, full send. Before we know it, summer will be here. The long days. The races. The trips. The moments where we want to feel strong, confident, and proud of the work we’ve done. And here’s the truth most people miss: The version of you that shows up this summer is being built right now. READ THAT AGAIN Every early morning. Every mile you didn’t feel like running. Every decision to move instead of sit. The work we’re stacking in February becomes the confidence we carry in June AND BEYOND . What feels small today becomes powerful later. Stay patient. But also Stay stubborn. And let’s talk about last weekend. To everyone who went BIG and knocked out 20+ mile runs — that’s not casual. That’s commitment. That’s grit. That’s Eat Cake Run Club at full volume. You didn’t just log miles… you built calluses on your mind. And just like that, we’re back on the 20 Mile Bomb Streak: Run of 1. One becomes two. Two becomes momentum. Momentum becomes unstoppable We’re not chasing hype. We’re building durability. The New Year excitement is long gone. Good. That means this is real now. This is the part where character shows up. Where nobody is clapping. Where the only thing pushing you forward is the promise you made to yourself. Big Run Weekend is our reset button. Our reminder. Our proving ground. Do something hard this weekend. Not because it’s convenient. Not because it’s trending. But because you’re the type of person who doesn’t back down when it gets uncomfortable. Summer is coming. Strength is earned now. Show up. Go big. Stay stubborn. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Oh yeah, happy Valentine’s Day :)

@Kyle Dickerson When people ask what I’m training for, the honest answer is this: I run because it makes me better every single day. Not just physically, but MENTALLY. There aren’t many things in life you can do over and over and over again that consistentlycmake you feel better—clearer, calmer, more grounded—and running does that for me. It sharpens my decision-making, steadies my emotions, and keeps me aligned with who I am created to be.....At this point, it’s addictive in the best way. I’m fully addicted to how it makes my life better. Beyond that, I love challenges. Things like Run Roulette, March to Calendar club, 4th quarter and hot July 400..... aren’t just about the miles or the group aspect—though I truly appreciate the support and camaraderie. At the core, these challenges are a check-in with myself. A quiet question I keep asking: Do I still have it in me? It’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it yourself, probably in a long race or deep into a hard effort—when your body hurts, your mind is exhausted, and you have every reason to stop. And yet, for some reason, you don’t. You keep going. Whatever that feeling is when you finish—adrenaline doesn’t even quite cover it—it’s unreal. Some people think drugs are powerful. Man, they’ve never felt that. That joy is unmatched. There are a few specific things on the horizon. I’d love to take a shot at the Tarturas Backyard Ultra at Riverside State Park—something I missed last year—though that depends on whether I’m still living in Spokane. We’ll see how life shakes out but chances are I won't be. We also have some big club challenges coming up, like March to Calendar Club. That one’s a grind—running the date of the month in miles, every single day. It builds slowly and then demands everything from you at the end. Every time I’ve completed it, something emotional happens. It leaves a mark in the best way. And then in August, for my birthday, I’ll run from my house to the top of Mount Spokane again—about 30 miles with roughly 5,000 feet of elevation. It’s just a good, honest run. I want to always be in shape to do things like that.
Did it
How are you all? So it wasn’t a long run for me this week but a quick one with a 5k run test. I managed quicker, not PB 5k (set in 2024 on a flat straight course) but quicker than my last at the same course and I believe my fastest 5k I the last year 🎉
