Day 6. Inhale hold almost back up to my best time. Still 14 seconds shy though. BH 2:50. Familiar with the exhale holds (kumbhaka) as the BW system I’m certified in focuses mostly on exhale holds; but we also do an inhale hold right after. Anyways. Exhale hold time :47. Final day tomorrow then onto the Breath Hold Mastery class! Get pumped these numbers up! ⬆️ 🐬 Make your day awesome everyone!

Hey everyone! I’m Harold — I’m fired up to be part of this 7-day breath-hold challenge with such an elite and driven community. Water was my first love. I was a competitive swimmer for 18 years, swam Division I in college, worked as a beach lifeguard for nearly 15 years, and spent years surfing and diving as a SCUBA-certified ocean junkie. These days, I’ve been living in the mountains for the past 25 years, where I traded waves for peaks — rock and ice climbing, skiing, and pushing my limits in the alpine world. I’ve also served in the Marine Corps. I’ve always sought out challenges that test physical, mental, and emotional resilience. But at age 48, everything changed — I suffered a stroke. No underlying health issues- a weak vertebral artery. No warning. It stopped me in my tracks after my daily trail run. The climbing, the skiing, the high-adrenaline lifestyle — all of it came to a sudden halt. That moment became a massive turning point. I began searching for a way to heal and reconnect with my inner strength. That search led me to SOMA Breathwork — and it cracked something wide open. The combination of rhythm, science, music, and energy was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. It didn’t just help me recover — it reawakened me. The transformation was so powerful, I got certified to teach SOMA and now guide others through the same process that helped me rebuild from the inside out. Breath has always been part of my life, but now I understand its true power. I’m honored to be here with all of you.
