My Perfect Day
The perfect day begins by waking up with 2 women who love me, somewhere that's sunny with a high of 82. I wake at 6:30, spending an hour on my fitness outdoors. I stay outdoors to unwind, topless in the sun reading and meditating, before relocating to a café with good pastries and outdoor seating to continue reading. Around midday I meet up with one friend for lunch and conversation, something heady and material. I spend afternoon inta early eve engaged in some sort of flow state labor, physical or mental, remaining engaged the whole time. In the evening I reconvene with my loves for a steak dinner followed by a disco nap, then we go out to a techno club, dancing with friends and socializing until 3:30am (which is early). We head home for a threesome and fall asleep holding each other.
28 Day Challenge - Day 2
One of the peculiar things I've noticed about exercising courage in one area is that it doesn't necessarily translate to every other area. I've been deeply courageous in my social life and fitness, putting myself in embarrassing, uncomfortable situations repeatedly for years until I sorted it out. But I'm still sort of terrified to do this in my career.
28 Day Challenge - Day 1
Self-compassion is always something I have struggled with. I'm very demanding and hard on myself because I know I'm capable of a lot. But I have a decent bit of trouble separating that drive from the shame that comes with not living up to it.
Learning
I'm just beginning this course and already I am beginning to see the work that needs to be done to be set free from those attitudes that held me down over the years.

Welcome aboard Jess! What have you found most insightful so far?
What do you focus on cultivating?
Outside of just doing the Heartfinders course (which will point you at what the right things to cultivate are) there are limitless opportunities for ways to self-cultivate. Share what practices have worked for you or you are pursuing here, and if you need advice for things to cultivate I'm sure the brain trust can advise!

Personally, my cultivation practices that are incorporated into my day-to-day are as follows: - Fitness. A healthy body is very important to navigate this world. The body and mind are not independent, they are one system and pursuing health in both categories is the way to go. For me, this is multidisciplinary, incorporating strength, physique, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness. I am better at some of these than others but I am working to progress all of them. Happy to offer my insights and guidance to anyone in the group - Meditation. Meditation is probably one of the best bang-for-buck practices you can do. in 10-15 minutes a day you can develop equanimity and focus. I have recently switched from Headspace to Waking Up, and have learned more in 2 weeks than Headspace taught me in years. Highly recommend the latter app. - Learning. A broad category, but every day I try to learn something new. I have been learning French for about a year, and I try to consume lots of different info sources in the form of podcasts, books, and videos.
