Little update following my last post… We have now only got 2 games left of the season! One of those being a cup final this Wednesday coming and the other being our last league game! One point in the league will secure us the league title! This is now becoming a reality, winning West Sussex Premier after taking this team from division 5 to the premier division this will be absolutely huge for us as a club! Is this really happening, can we do it?!🏆🏆 Also please could you go and follow my insta account @ljdonaldson23, it’s my new account so trying to grow it as much as I can 🙌🏼❤️

It’s funny to think that not long ago I came across a random sponsorship ad on social media — Instagram or Facebook, I don’t even remember which — and who would’ve thought it would lead me to a community like this. I actually held off posting last week because it more or less coincided with @Xavier Stark hitting 100,000 points — and rightly so, that was his moment, not mine. But now that a bit of time has passed, I just wanted to say it. More than anything, a big thanks to everyone here for the warm welcome from day one — and especially to @Ray Newland for building this community in the first place. I genuinely enjoy being part of this forum — sharing my son journey (and mine… although there’s a lot less progress on my side 😅), reading your posts and experiences, and jumping in to support where I can. And if I can contribute anything, it’s just my small grain of sand — based on experience and, every now and then, a bit of common sense… which, as they say, isn’t always that common. Thanks everyone

With 3 league games and a cup final left to play sitting second with a game in hand on the team who are top. Each game we have is now a cup final for us… can we do the double? Played 17 in the league and have only conceded 17 goals, 9 goals at home and 8 goals away. Found myself in decent form this year however conceded more than I wanted to. Our goal difference is an absolute joke though! +52 is crazy for playing in the highest division of the West Sussex league. Do you think we can do it?⚽️

Massive congratulations to @Xavier Stark for hitting the incredible milestone of 100,000 points on the all-time leaderboard 👏 That’s not just a number — it says a lot about the consistency and effort you’ve put into this community created by @Ray Newland. Week after week, you’re always around, helping others and sharing your thoughts. Your posts about your own journey as a goalkeeper are great to follow too — I’m sure a lot of GKs get value from them. And fair to mention Kirsty as well, who sometimes posts on your behalf — part of this milestone too. I’ve only been here a few months, but it’s been easy to see the impact you have on the forum. Huge respect — very well deserved 👏
