Time is Your Life — A Reminder from the Salaf ⏳🤍
The Salaf didn’t see time as something to “pass”… they saw it as something that is taking pieces of them with it. Every hour wasn’t just an hour — it was a فرصة (opportunity) to get closer to Allah… or a loss they could never recover. Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:“Wasting time is worse than death, because death cuts you off from the dunya, while wasting time cuts you off from Allah and the Hereafter.” They weren’t necessarily doing more — they were doing what mattered: - Protecting their salah like their life depended on it - Filling their day with Qur’an, dhikr, and knowledge - Guarding their time from distractions - Being consistent, even in the smallest acts Reflection: It’s not about being “busy” — it’s about being intentional. Ask yourself: Is what I’m doing right now bringing me closer to Allah… or just passing time? Because the scariest loss isn’t failing —it’s reaching the end and realising you had time… but you let it go. Start protecting your hours like they matter — because they do 🌱

Lessons from today’s call
Today’s reflection from the call: Let go of the past, turn the page, set your goals, build a system, have tawakkul, and move. A big reminder for me was to stop letting emotions drive my day. Motivation comes and goes, but structure keeps you moving. Brain dump, journal, reflect, and plan your day so your mind is clear. My bottleneck is daily structure, so the focus is to reduce the scope, stick to the schedule, and aim for the bare minimum. If I do more, alhamdulillah. If I only do the minimum, that still means I stayed consistent. Another important point: the system will break sometimes, but the key is having a way back. Don’t let one bad moment pull you back into bad habits. Make bad habits unattractive and make returning to your routine easy. Also, don’t get too carried away by small wins. Stay steady. Enjoy the journey, keep pushing, and trust that the results will come.

Don’t Become a Stranger to the Version of You Ramadan Built
Ramadan proved you are not weak. You were capable of qiyam, resisting urges, disciplining yourself, and building a real relationship with Allah SWT. The hard part is not Ramadan itself. The hard part is falling back into your old normal after Ramadan. But now you know what you are capable of. So do not lower your standards. Challenge yourself. Push yourself. Ramadan showed you your highest potential. High-value individuals live by high values. Present yourself to Allah with the same care, effort, and sincerity that you present yourself to other people. You do not have to become a completely different person after Ramadan. You can stay the same person you were in Ramadan. And even if it feels hard, build yourself back up little by little. A good place to start is this: Analyse what you were doing in Ramadan that you are no longer doing now. List those things. Then start bringing them back, one by one. Why do so many people lose their way after Ramadan? Because they treat Ramadan like a season instead of training. Ramadan was training for the whole year. It showed you your discipline, your strength, and your true capability. After that, you should never go back to low standards. Raise your goals. Ramadan already proved that you are capable. Now the focus is to ease yourself into habits that you can maintain and protect after Ramadan too.
