Getting comfortable saying No
I've noticed that instead of directly saying No, I'd revolve around it by being super diplomatic and making it palatable for the other person by providing lengthy explanations and details, they didn't care about. Now, I've decided to say no first and then see if I need to justify it, based on who is infront of me. How've you guys gotten comfortable saying no without feeling guilty or risking abandonment?

I struggle with it but am getting better at. With my wife’s family saying no can result in a bad reaction so it’s like dealing with two things at once. My own guilt from a lifetime of people pleasing, and then also the desire to avoid the others bad reaction and discomfort. Its not an easy thing to do.
Monday Accountability
It's that time again! Comment below by calling your shot for this week: What healthy, value-based action do you commit to doing this week to improve your life? And how did you get on with last week's commitment?

I commit to pausing before responding or not responding at all when triggered by certain family members. Even if I’m experiencing anxiety on the inside. Lots of family around the next couple of weeks. In a manipulation video on the brojo website I learned that I can respond by focusing on the words but not the intent of the other person.
My review of the Shameless & Unbreakable course"
Brojo, is lovely platform, i have got some real crazy insight from your course. It has shown me some of my trauma responses that are beautifully being recognized and giving me clarity with beauty Why did I choose to do this course (what I was hoping to learn from it)? I chose the course, cuz i realize i have a lot of SHAME and Embarrassment inside of me, that i need to neutralize. What was the most helpful thing I learned in this course? Being shameless is the real thing, let the world JUDGE You if they like, do not worry. What actions did I try as a result of doing this course? Im implementing by doing little acts of courage by posting vides of self., and know that people will judge or make comments but it doenst matter now. Who do I think this course is best for? It is best for people with codependancy issues, and people who have been raised by narcissists etc.

Realizing there is nothing you can do about people judging and that it doesn’t matter is a big one for me. Congrats on your insights.
