My first product launch made me $0 (a true story) 📉
Back in college (2021), I spent 6 months building my first product (it was a pretty complex educational platform). I put everything into it: content, graphics, visuals, design. But during those 6 months, I barely shared anything about it. I wasn’t building in public. I wasn’t showing the behind-the-scenes. I wasn’t talking about the struggles or the progress. So when I finally launched, my audience didn’t care. They didn’t feel connected. They didn’t have FOMO. And the launch was terrible. $0 in sales (well, one random purchase). Here’s what I learned (you can use this too): If you want to sell, you need to bring people along for the ride. Show the work. Show the process. Share the wins and the losses. Create hype. Create FOMO. That’s what makes people want to buy. Don't just launch new products out of nowhere. Build in public and let your audience feel part of the journey. My two product launches on LinkedIn have done exceptionally well. I launched my first product (a personal branding course) back in June and have only made one sale so far. I'm running a discount on it for the month of September and havent had much luck. Admittedly, I'm not the most knowledgeable salesman, but im trying my best to learn and adapt.

I’ll share two of them that helped me grow my brand: 1. Teach something - make sure each post leaves the reader feeling like they learned something. 2. Share personal stories - you can’t be afraid to open up and sure enough personal experience they can help others who might be going through the same thing.
