Data modelling in Salesforce is the process of organising, designing and structuring how data is stored in the platform database. This can be carried out through relationships between objects and their fields. Types of relationships involved in Salesforce -One to Many Relationships (Lookup and Master-Detailed) *Lookup Relationship This is a relationship between two objects but these objects are not tightly bound to each other meaning one object can exist without the other object eg Account and Contact .Security permissions are independent to each other *Master Detailed Relationship This relationship exists between two objects which are tightly bound together with one being the Parent object and the other object the child objects. -The child object cannot exist without the parent object(tightly bound) -The child object takes all the Security permissions from the parent object. -The Master Detailed relationship is created from the child record. -if you delete a record on the parent it will automatically delete on the child record. -The Roll up summary of the child can be done from the parent object . -Many to Many Relationships (Junction object) This is a scenario where we create custom object to help connect two other objects. Junction object has two detailed master relationships relating to two different objects that help to combine together. The Junction object inherits all the security permissions from the first master object connected to it. The Junction Object mostly contain just the fields if the master object -Self Relationship(Hierarchical) This is a type of lookup relation where an object is related to itself .Used for creating Hierarchy between the same object. For example a User object can have a manager and this manager is also a record under the object -External Lookup Relationship This is the relationship between a custom object in Salesforce and an external system object using an external data source -Indirect Lookup Relationship This links a child external object to a parent standard or custom object. It uses a custom unique external ID field on the parent object to match against the child’s indirect

You created a validation rule on the Opportunity object to ensure that the Close Date cannot be in the past. The formula is: CloseDate < TODAY() A sales manager complains that they cannot update the Stage of an Opportunity that has already closed in the past — even when they are not changing the Close Date field. Why is this happening, and how would you fix it while keeping the intended rule intact? Provide your answer below. ⚠️Please No AI answer. I will require you to explain if I pick you

Sales Discount Approval Flow Project Part 1&2
✅ Sales Discount Approval Flow – Summary Just completed an automation project that improves how Sales Reps at Currys PC World request and track discounts during deal negotiations. 🛠️ Part 1: I built a Screen Flow that: - Only allows discount requests in the Negotiation/Review stage - Captures the proposed discount & reason - Updates the Opportunity and sets the request to Pending - Sends a real-time email alert with Opportunity details to the approver 📊 Bonus: Added validation to warn if discount > 20% 🛠️ Part 2: I created a Record-Triggered Flow that: - Listens for updates to the Discount Status - Sends an email notification when a discount is Approved or Rejected - Includes key Opportunity details, discount info, and a direct record link 🎯 This automation streamlines the entire discount approval process — boosting visibility, accountability, and sales team efficiency!
