Help with colour dominance choice

I’ve started the Auseklis sock and I’m using the paler colour as dominant.

Is that the right way round - don’t want to get too far if it needs changing!

Also first time doing Judy’s cast on and it has a purl ridge, I think I’ve done that wrong too 😬
