Hi all I am brand spanking new to this world and would love any advice to get started can’t post any pics because I haven’t made anything yet there is so much talent here I’m in awe!
Happy to have found this
Good morning. Name is Vick and I've been looking for a community for some time. Happy to be here. My grandfather was a construction worker and I used to help him out when I was a kid. That's right: child labor! 🤣 I don't think anyone else in the family has taken up woodworking so I am the first. My father said to me "Learn to do one thing extremely well. For everything else you can pay." Well, I got tired of paying for shoddy work. Bought a new house 13 years ago and have been learning and modding ever since.
Howdy
I am David, and after helping my father with his utility wood projects when I was young, I have decided to get into woodworking. Since he has passed, I am stating from ground zero. However, all of my work life, I have been in the problem solving business. So I am glad to join and look forward in sharing knowledge with all.
Hello, my name is Levi Whitney!
Hi everyone, my name is Levi. I started my woodworking journey around two years ago from making some wooden knifes, after some time I started to try to make some wooden yo-yos which got me to buy a lathe(my first power tool that I bought) that was last year in March. I am a Christian Home schooled teenager, if you would like to support me here's my YouTube channel and a link for my handmade wooden yo-yos. https://www.youtube.com/@levishandmadetoys https://shop.wwstudios.org/products/handmade-wooden-yoyo

Merry Christmas everyone, another year is quickly coming to an end. I fell a cedar a few years back and didn’t want it to be added to the firewood pile so I made a table and benches. A couple mortise and tenon joints on both benches with a water based poly finish on the table top and oil based poly on the benches. I’m not a master in woodworking but I’ve been in the trades my entire life. My goal is to learn more joints and the appropriate time to use them. I have a decent back log of completed projects and will try to be as active as possible, feel free to reach out and teach me something. Enjoy the rest of your day.
