Hey Y’all! I’m Liv Grace :) I was a student in the first Sound2Success session & wanted to tap in with everybody. I’ve struggled with hoarding my music on my laptop instead of releasing it for a long time now. Kelvin’s masterclass pushed me to stop hiding & start actually putting my music out. Been a crazy week with my parents declining fast. But i still managed to get 2 sessions done and I am submitting my second one. 8-25 11:02PM -11:32 Name your first three moves 1. Find a chord or melody progression 2. Find a kick hi hat and snare pattern 3. fill in/color the track I stalled, overthinking the second half of the loop and vocal placement (I wanted a different vibe to give a chorus-and-verse feel in 16 bars), but then I did what I do naturally (emotion placement and trying to create a moment they will remember) and felt where they should go.

Name your first three moves: I randomize or go to my target bpm. I find a midi, open scaler, or play the piano to figure out my progression. I find the sound I want for said progression Apathy - 1:55pm-2:25pm I got stuck on what I wanted the chord progression to be. I asked google to suggest something. I used a pack in a tool I use. Nothing worked. Finally I just played a baseline I liked and constructed chords around that. Suited Connector 2:34pm - 3:04pm When I chopped up the drum loop, I didn’t like how the tail on the crash was sounding. I played around with the fade out but it wasn’t producing what I wanted. So I just put the crash on a different track and automated a reverb return. Waving Hi 3:13pm-3:43pm I wanted started with a very boring chord groove. It took me a bit to find exactly how I wanted them to be placed. When I finally did, I didn’t have the time to arrange it all like I wanted. I tried to get to this assignment sooner. I started and never caught my flow until day of it being due. I worked on other things, but I have to admit I was avoiding it even though it wasn’t going to be that difficult to do.
