A QUESTION FOR THE CREATIVES
This is for producers, singers, artists....Who of you has changed your sound, your style, or your approach to fit what you thought someone else wanted from you? Honest answer only.

I think it’s the opposite for me. When I play my beats for some people, they be wanting me to sound like someone else. 🤷🏾‍♂️ “I need a beat like this or that” “I need this type beat”. The RIGHT ones understood my sound and 9/10 it worked out the way it was meant to.
GETTING OVER YOU
You can have all the talent in the world and still be the reason nothing gets released.I say that because talent was never the hard part. The hard part is pressing the button and getting over YOU. Getting over yourself makes you a better person too. You come out the other side different. Everything starts with who you're willing to BECOME. Not the work. Not the industry. YOU first. I've had to ask myself and God who do I have to be to have the thing I want. The input is who I become. The outcome is just what that produces. A lot of us just want to have. We skip becoming the person who has it. Once you become that person, the outcome stops being hard. It just becomes what naturally happens next. Is it your skill holding you back, or is it you? Answer honestly in the comments.

1000% Me
week 2 Homework
Been a crazy week with my parents declining fast. But i still managed to get 2 sessions done and I am submitting my second one. 8-25 11:02PM -11:32 Name your first three moves 1. Find a chord or melody progression 2. Find a kick hi hat and snare pattern 3. fill in/color the track I stalled, overthinking the second half of the loop and vocal placement (I wanted a different vibe to give a chorus-and-verse feel in 16 bars), but then I did what I do naturally (emotion placement and trying to create a moment they will remember) and felt where they should go.

I'm praying you and your family my brother. I think you poured every bit of emotion you had in the little time frame. The instrumentation, vibe, atmospheric vocals, everything was beautifully done. I kinda wanna hear the finished version mayne!

@Michael Fanning 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Bro I don’t think this needs any additional production at all, probably vocals if you want to make it a song, but honest it’s strong on its own for real! I downloaded it so I can listen to it daily. Thank you bro! 🙏🏾
S2S Week 2 Homework
My 3 opening moves are: 1. Find the melody/loop 2. Put the melody/loop in Simpler so I can maybe chop it 3. Find drums that I feel would go along with the melody I have I always stalled when the time got between 18:00-18:50. That’s when the overthinking comes in. * Music stops after 00:38

Actually, the more I listen to this, the more I hear Schoolboy Q on this one bro!

1.My process usually begins with the drums, since I am a percussionist and truly love drums. 2.I then craft a melody(Gibberish) with my voice, different parts i want to spell out like guitar or Bass ideas i would like to hear. i often will have a clear idea or direction I want to take in the project as a whole. 3.However, I recognize that I sometimes get caught up in my own thoughts, overthinking whether I’ve included too much or too little of my intended approach. Y'all Be Blessed!
