The automation mistake that cost me real deals recently
Lost a couple of leads recently trying to automate conversations that should have stayed human. I run an AI automation agency, so you'd think I'd be the last person to get this wrong. Picked this up from a mentor recently as the right way to think about it.
Here's what I believe works for property businesses:
  • 70% fully automated. Outreach to new leads, follow-ups, document generation, reactivation of old enquiries. Repetitive stuff that doesn't need judgment.
  • 20% human oversight. Content (AI drafts, you refine), speed-to-lead (voice agent handles first touch within minutes, you close).
  • 10% humans only. Client relationships, viewings, negotiations. This is where trust lives and deals are won or lost.
Most property businesses either automate nothing or automate everything. Both cost them.
Would love to know what's working for you or if you've had similar experiences
