Preattack Indicators
These videos show some good ones but you have to look for them in the videos, just like you do in real life. Watch the videos and see if you notice the following things to watch for and to do/not do. Note: you have to click on the first link to see it. - Step back out of arms reach - don't look away form the person - don't allow yourself to be surrounded - watch their eyes: sometimes they will look away, sometimes they will stare at you intently - watch their hips for shifts or balance changes - watch their shoulders for shifts and unleveling - Watch their hands for clenching, extreme hand position changes - raising or lowering https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1WjdGSt254/ https://www.youtube.com/shorts/y5-LFQA-veU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMMAokcq1rM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4zoe-69GxE

Elevator Safety
Here is an awesome video with advice on elevator safety. Please share it with all of your friends and family. This is good information to remember expecially in a place like a garage elevator or at a time when there would not be many people around, as in early morning or late evening. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17oxymhzFr/

Elevator Safety
An Appropriate Word for the Group, I think.
I received this scripture from my church's mens group leader today and wanted to pass it along, since I feel it is appropriate for the community. Psalms 144: 1. Blessed be to the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle. 2. He is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and He in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

Defence against a frontal choke
Another good self-decense tip. Notice how she doesn't just raise her arm but she lifts her whole side up so she can put her weight into the blow. Reminder to be careful while practicing and do things slowly at first to reduce the risk of injury. Always stretch before hand. I tried this with my wife and also did it on my knees to simulate the height of a child. Thanks to the angle created with a standing adult, this move seems to work even for children but consider the strength advantage. If you have a child to try it with, let the group know if it actually works for them. Also practice for a real life failure and have a contingency groin strike or shin kick as a second option to practice. Train often. Train right. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DS2xiVMvA/
