Let's look at a real fight for a change.
One simple question today; what do you see the loser of this fight has done wrong? Name as many things as you can but at least two and we can discuss them. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1762184131634074

Please say hello to @Gene McKeithan. Gene has been in martial arts for more than 10 years. Gene, please introduce yourself and tell us: - what style(s) of MA you have trained in, - If you have ever competed, and - what got you interested in MA in the first place.
Are Forms in Martial Art Practice good for learning Self Defense?
Please weigh in on the poll about MA Forms, like the ones used in Tai Chi and other martial arts. Besides the poll, please let me know in the comments if you think it is possible to create forms from scratch based on what we see are the best movements for defense agains certain attacks.

@Kalani Kanae That is a good question. Usually in an individual style of MA there are different movements (series of kicks, punches, and blocks) put into a patern that the students of differing levels must learn and be tested in the perfomance of in order to advance to a higher level (or not, if done poorly). This is what I mean by Forms. In Karate and Judo I believe it is called Kata. In Amarican Taekwondo (TKD) Association it is called Songahm or Poomsae. In other TKD organizations Poomsae, Hyung, or Teul and in Kung Fu it is called Tao Lu.

@Kalani Kanae Thanks for weighing in on the topic.
This goes along with my poll about Kata or Forms.
Watch this video. Even though it is long it makes a lot of sense and has advice at the end that we should follow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGA8wYEdUpY
