Winter Solstice December 21, 2025
Winter Solstice is on December 21, 2025. This is the time of year when the days are the shortest and we receive the least amount of energy from the sun. It also comes just after the moon has moved through its new and dark moon phases in Scorpio, where the moon is debilitated. We may be feeling more vulnerable and sensitive, along with a heightened sense of intuition.
This is a powerful time to go inward and honor the inner light. Ways to celebrate the Winter Solstice include lighting candles, spending quiet time in reflection, journaling, setting intentions for the year ahead, and resting more deeply. Join me this Sunday, December 21, at 10 a.m. Mountain Time for a short ritual with meditation and intention-setting for the year ahead. If you would like a deeper understanding of the Winter Solstice energy, you can watch this video.
How do you celebrate the Winter Solstice? Please feel free to drop your rituals or a photo of your altar in the comments below.
