I have a memory of myself when I was four years old. Singing at the top of my lungs (regular songs not children songs) I had a loving sister who was four years older than me who was my audience. And in my imagination, there were many more people there. I grew up religious, so over time I learnt that my singing is not to be developed, encouraged or even permitted— because I’m a girl. In the last couple of years, as I freed myself from other oppressive realities, and did a hefty chunk of Inner child healing, I started joining karaoke bars. It feeds my adult self— as it’s fun, and allows for energy to move through my body in a positive way, And of course it feeds the four year-old Chanie… This video is from this past week— enjoy. 👉 Is there something in your life that you can reclaim from your own childhood?? that you can give yourself permission now for the times that you didn’t have the choice to do that?
