I got into a nostalgic rabbit hole… that started when I was a little girl and this guy has inspired me and influenced me to become everything that I am today. @Kevin Love shared this in a comment and that triggered quite a few emotions and contemplations, meaning of life and your life and my life and the impact we have on this world by our sincere contribution!! Sound is sooooo powerful!!! Music is indeed a secret not so secret weapon (tool in a more mild way of putting it 😂) This one video Kevin shared, and the other one that @VALA aka Valgerður Eva Þorvaldsdóttir shared… both leading me to not wait until my studio is perfectly arranged in the new place but just to bust out my instruments out of their cases and boxes and play!!!!!!! No LEDs and stands and pretty nick naks needed!!!!! Thank you for the gentle nudge and inspiration! As soon as I am done w my crying party, I will take a shower, do a meditation and play music!!!! Notifications can wait! Everything can wait!!!! Joy Zone state flow state comes first!! Hi Tribers! I am sure you have experienced this - whether in school or in life or with a romantic relationship (dating the same person in different body? Sounds familiar?? lol) or playing a musical instrument… Lessons return (or repeat) if we have not learned them the 1st, 2nd or heck even 300th time… I thought I have learned my lesson of not making assumptions. And logically my thought process was like - I have worked many years on myself to not judge book by its cover - to not judge others - as when we first meet someone - we don’t know their circumstances, upbringing and internal battles. So for me - not being judgmental ALSO meant not make any assumptions. Logical… right? WRONG!!!! And this morning I learned this. Hers is what happened. Our Triber @Dinka Salvador had reached out to me several weeks ago, inviting me to speak in a summit. I thanked her for thinking of me and said yes. The summit is in January so I have left going over any details that are needed for the next couple of days… I found out today that the speakers’ spots were filled within 3 days (a few weeks ago) and I needed to register myself. Duh 🙄 Either my blondness or my business didn’t allow me to see it this way. Most likely is a combo of both. What I know now is: 1. I ASSUMED that just because I am integral and do as I say, people automatically know it. Wrong!!! Lots of people say all kind of stuffs all the time… and don’t follow through 2. I ASSUMED that me saying yes to Dinka it’s a done deal and I am scheduled. Wrong! Dinka, as she shared w me earlier, would never do such a thing out of respect!! So you see how this is a lesson that I needed to learn? Don’t assume anything!! To be honest I was not even aware I was assuming! I will be more mindful in the future and ask myself often - “am I assuming things here?” What’s your take and experience on assuming?

There is only 1 of you. And there is so many of THEM. In a world of wannabes… BE YOU! How many times you were told you should be this way or that way? How many times you have told yourself even that you should be this way or that way? Why? Fak that.
