Procedure in my shoulder today. I was prepared to sit and wait long time and be bored and yet was sort of scared a bit (I don’t like needles, they make me nervous, to say the least) and was doing breathing exercises. I share them in camera confidence quest in the classroom. They have helped me and many others to calm the f down when in need lol shameless plug Ok so… The anesthesiologist came in but he seemed nice. So I sparked a convo w him n asked him if he is happy. He said he doesn’t like working for someone else and is in process of doing his own thing that is more aligned. And I was like oh ye? Tell me more, that’s my specialty lol And then he told me about his new business where he will have a van that will transport patients from hospital to their homes after procedures. I thought that was a very good idea cuz ya knwo we are sedated and can’t drive and most of the time someone else has to pick us up or uber. I said that for that, it would be better to partner w hospitals and have them have it as an extra rather than him have to sell directly to customers… I’d pay extra if the hospital offers me that! Wouldn’t you?? But I wouldn’t if it’s some Joe Shmo offering…. Or uber… And then I told him that once established, this can be easily scaled (w more vans & workforce) and also expand it to wheelchair patients as they are also government funded, not only insurance…. The best part is that he doesn’t have to sell or have the people pay him…. Insurance & government will. He got so fckn lit up that made my heart smile. Then I passed out. When everything was over, as I was living the surgical center, he came and was so excited and happy and said: “ hey Rositsa! Thank you… you set a fire under me and gave me so many ideas and direction and excitement!!! And!! You just laid out a full blown business plan for me! How can I repay you!?” - I said “you are welcome! Thank you for making the needle poking actually enjoyable for me, appreciated the convo…. Good luck w everything!” And I left. Good deed done ✅
