8/8 ✨ Lion's Gate

The other day, I got into a heated discussion with another astrologer about Lion’s Gate.

She said it is not an astrological portal and that it is silly to look at it through an astrological lens. Her view was that astrology is a rigid system, and if we do not follow the rules, what are we even doing?

I disagree.

Just because someone cannot see a pattern does not mean there is no pattern to explore.

The roots of Lion’s Gate reach back to ancient Egypt. At this time of year, Sirius became visible again in the morning sky near the Sun. This was connected to the Egyptian New Year and the seasonal flooding of the Nile.

The Nile was the bringer of life. Its floods replenished the land and made the civilisation of Kemet possible. Kemet means “the Black Land”, referring to the rich dark soil left behind by the river.

Sirius and Orion carried deep significance in ancient Egyptian cosmology, and the Giza Plateau is often discussed in connection with these celestial bodies.

Today, Lion’s Gate is associated with the 8/8 date, the Sun in Leo, Sirius, visibility, creative life force, and the courage to be seen.

For me, through the lens of the Trinity Code, where astrology, Human Design, and Gene Keys meet, this is a celebration of 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Leo asks us to consider:

✨ Where am I still editing myself to be more acceptable?

✨ What part of me is ready to be seen?

✨ Where can I choose authenticity over performance?

✨ What wants to be expressed through me now?

I am a firm believer in ritual. But I do not believe there is one right way to work with energy, symbolism, or 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

There are 8 billion ways of being hooman.

Maybe your ritual is journaling. Maybe it is pulling a card, setting an intention, dancing, making art, wearing something that makes you feel like yourself, taking yourself somewhere beautiful, or having the honest conversation you have been avoiding.

The important thing is that you harvest the moment. That you make it 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀.
