Sit in the middle of it
Set a timer for 2–5 minutes.
Sit down and let everything be exactly as it is. Close your eyes.
Visualize for a moment everything in your world right now. Your work, your family, your challenges, your triumphs, all around you in the space around you.
Don’t try to calm down.
Don’t try to get clear.
Don’t try to change anything.
Whatever is here, thoughts, pressure, tension, emotion, let it all be here.
Instead of stepping back from it, sit right in the middle of it.
No distance.
No fixing.
Notice the pull to solve, escape, or figure it out.
And don’t follow it.
Just stay.
Not as a strategy.
Just being here with what’s already happening.
The point isn’t to feel better.
It’s to stop organizing your experience around control.
When that drops, even a little, something deeper starts to come online.
What shows up for you when you do so? This is the place to begin.
