Intro
I’m a 52 year-old male started on TRT approximately five weeks ago. I’ve been on Clomid for three years and wanting to optimize my hormones. Currently, I’m about 249 pounds at about 23% body fat goal is to get to 15% body fat don’t care about the weight
Curious About Tirzepatide (but a little scared)
Hi everyone, I’m Chris, I’m 53, and I live in West Virginia. Apologies in advance for the long story. Lane’s story really resonates with me, as I’m someone who has gotten in really good shape several times, but I always gain the weight back. I’m 5‘10“, and I currently weigh 220 pounds. That’s basically where my weight stays if I’m not actively tracking calories. I’ve lifted weights for about 25 years, and I know exactly what to do to get in shape. During the pandemic, I got into the best shape of my life at 48 years old. The big key was that all the restaurants were closed, and I made all of my meals at home. I did most mostly bodyweight workouts in my basement, with a little bit of dumbbell work, and I got down to 152 pounds. I felt and looked great. My only health issue at that time was a a little bit of an enlarged prostate. About a week after my 50th birthday, I wasn’t feeling quite right, went to the doctor, and they told me that I had a mild bladder infection. They prescribed me an antibiotic called ciprofloxacin. I had an absolutely devastating reaction to this drug. Prior to taking it, I had no joint or tendon problems, but this antibiotic caused me tendon problems throughout my whole body. In addition, I had all kinds of other horrible side effects. I literally almost died. It was about a year before I was able to return to the gym. Now, more than three years later, I feel good. I’m back in the gym, and my only issue really is some lingering hip pain that was caused by the antibiotic. During that full year of not being able to exercise, I gained weight. I’m back at 220 where I always seem to reset to. I’ve been dieting and working out for quite a while again, and I’ll lose two or 3 pounds, but then I’m right back to 220. Going out to eat is what kills me. If I’m making meals at home, I’m fine, but I just don’t have the willpower to eat something like a salad on a Friday or Saturday night out. My biggest concern with Tirzepatide is that a lot of people who have been harmed by the drug that injured me claim that all kinds of things cause them to relapse. Taking various medications can be sort of like Russian roulette. I haven’t taken any prescription drugs in the last 3 1/2 years. And, I realize that Tirzepatide is a peptide and not a drug. But, I’m still gun shy about pharmaceuticals.

Just starting my journey.
Thanks for having me, I'm Dave in Los Angeles, CA. I turned 58 six weeks ago and started my Zepbound and TRT journey on the same day. I started at 187 and I'm 17lbs down and I feel amazing. The hardest part for me has been learning how to lift, I've never been a gym guy so I bought a home gym and watched a lot of videos. I'm really sore and just trying not to get injured. I happy to be a part of this community because I know hard work and dedication will pay off.

Hello!
Thanks
I’ve been following Lane since his pastoral & kajabi days. It was great to see his transformation and one I haven’t quite finished. I started at 350 (603) many years ago. Lost 100 pounds and spent the last few years between 280-290. It’s time to get to the forever weight and I had been on that journey for about 6 weeks when I ran across Lane’s new channel so here I am.
