Hi everyone, I’m Martin 👋
I’m just starting my Mounjaro journey and wanted to introduce myself. I’ve had my 3rd injection today and I’m currently on the 2.5mg starter dose. It’s still very early days, but I’m already trying to build better habits around food, protein, water, steps and training. My main goal is to lose around 4 stone, but I don’t just want to lose weight — I want to build muscle, get stronger, improve my fitness and feel better in myself. I’m also training with a PT, so my focus is going to be steady fat loss while keeping as much muscle as possible. I don’t currently take TRT, and to be honest I’d never really heard much about it until I watched your YouTube video. It’s definitely something I’m interested in researching and understanding more about. I know none of this will happen overnight, but I’m ready to start taking it seriously and stay consistent. Looking forward to learning from everyone and sharing the journey 👍 I’m in the uk 🇬🇧 age 44

Welcome Martin!
Selank?
I do not suffer from crippling anxiety, but I do have fear around public speaking like most people. I am starting a new position where I will be hosting presentations at dinners in front of 20-70+ people, and while I know that some amount of anxiety will be there until I put the reps in, I'd like to mitigate some of it by giving selank a chance. Have anyone here tried it and what where the results? Should I take it daily or only on the presentation days (1-2 days per week) when I have to be extra grounded? Intranasal or subQ? It seems that all the russian studies on humans were done intranasal so I am leaning towards that but I'd love some feedback.

Second to Propranolol. That's helped me with speeches I have to give, intense interviews

@David Houghtaling wow I didn't know they dosed this way. I thought it took 4 weeks for the dose to level out in your system. That's a rapid climb

@David Houghtaling Oh okay that makes a lot more sense. It takes a good 4 weeks for the medication to level out to see if it's a good dose. Low and slow. I'm taking Reta every 4 days. I find by day 4 my appetite comes back. I saw that chart and agreed with you that it was ramping up every week and that just didn't look right
Beginner tutorial for Lifting Weights
So @Zach Burdette asked a great question about getting started in the gym. I made quick video to serve as a guide to anyone who is just getting started lifting.

Probably start off doing adjustable weights at home. Any good free apps?
The road begins now
What’s up fellas!? I’m not quite 40 yet but pushing my way to the top of that hill. I’m married with 4 kiddos that my life revolves around. Growing up I was an active guy, always involved in a sport year round and worked on top of that. Once I graduated high school my shape went from a fit guy to a blob. I have struggled for the past 20 years going back and forth with my weight. Once kids came into the picture it’s been straight down hill. Between their sports, activities and my two youngest having some pretty gnarly medical stuff going on I just don’t prioritize myself like I should. I feel myself moving in the right direction here in the last month or so tho. I’ve started working out again, im looking at labs, my kids are becoming more independent and we are looking acreage to finally settle down in Tennessee. I look forward to making some connections with other guys in my same spot and those who have been in my situation before. Glad to be here.
