I am subscribed to the belief that stepping out of ones comfort zone can lead to greater outcomes in life, even smaller scale actional steps have resulted in a tonic outcomes within my own life. There's also something to be said for finding your comfort zone and developing within that space, which sounds paradoxical but might still hold truth in other contexts. I also find the concept of flow being highly useful when observing where discipline meets motivation. Naturally motivation comes in waves unreliably but should be leveraged when available, developed discipline carries you through the troughs of life. Flow is finding that perfect balance where skill meets challenge. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on comfort zones, risk vs reward, flow states, as well as any recommended books you'd like to share.
