Mentoring someone who is ready to give up.
There is someone on my team who reached out who is ready to give up.
Their exact words were “I just want to recoup what I have already invested.”
My mind always struggles to find the exact words to turn this person around, because I have so many. And then I opened my book just now and saw this, and I found it helpful in adjusting your perspective in moving toward a successful path, so I thought I would share it here in case it could help someone else.
1) what natural born talents have others recognized in me?
2) what do I do naturally and easily that others seem to have appreciated?
3) what parts of my personality have helped open new doors?
4) what experiences have taught me something useful I didn’t know before?
5) in what settings do I find myself excelling?
6) what problems do I think I can uniquely help solve?
7) what am I good at even if I don’t yet see how to monetize it?
8) what do I love and appreciate about myself and the value I bring to the world?
Have answers to these? Share them below.
