ME Upper and Lower last week
ME Upper
Monday ME Upper, was barbell push press. I am switching to a three week wave approach with Max Effort for the foreseeable future due to my weight cut. This is a double with a slower eccentric with 90% of my max at my heaviest Bodyweight.

TOP SET DEADLIFT TRAINING
One way to train for a max reps deadlift event, is top set training. Each week you hit a heavy top set of deadlifts (rpe 8-9), followed by 1-2 back off speed sets. On a secondary deadlift day during the week, you hit banded deads, or paused deads or heavy RDL. This is a great way to train if you can already hit your competition weight for 5-7 reps, and you’re looking to increase to 10+. One benefit of this method, is it’s not a lot of time or lower back volume spent on the deadlift, so you can spend that time and energy on other taxing events such as stones and yoke. If you’re struggling to hit your competition deadlift weights for 1-3 reps, I’d recommend a linear approach with 4-6 sets each week in the 3-6 rep range. Your standard deadlift training. Here’s 205kg for 7. 5 weeks ago I hit 205kg for 6, so we’re just slowly adding a rep every month or so.

Hello fellow lifting enthusiasts. Curious to what people find their optimal competiton training timeline. Is it 4 weeks leading into a comp? 6, 8 or 10 weeks out? How different are you lfting initially to the competition?
