Training timeline for a comp.
Hello fellow lifting enthusiasts. Curious to what people find their optimal competiton training timeline. Is it 4 weeks leading into a comp? 6, 8 or 10 weeks out? How different are you lfting initially to the competition?

Didnโ€™t quite hit my goal of eight reps, but Iโ€™m not disappointed. Strength and fitness was there, the stone was hurting when it touched my ear, so much that my body started to move a lot slower at the top portion of the lift. I didnโ€™t need to do any reps in order to win the comp, so my motivation was really relying on a personal goal that I had set. Anyway, I managed to take first place in the under 90s at yesterdayโ€™s Comp! Iโ€™ll be making more videos on how to train for future competitions, would anyone be interested in a stone to shoulder tutorial video?

3 days out from my next competition!
Which means 3 full days of rest, no training. Anyone else competing at Battle In The Bay? Iโ€™ll be making my next video next week, how Iโ€™d train for round 3 of the Victorian strongman series. Iโ€™ve begun using a new idea/model for training which Iโ€™ll also share with you all ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

One motion stone to shoulder
A great warm up for stone to shoulder work You have to โ€œrowโ€ the stone into the belly a lot harder (great to train without tacky) and explode through the hips very aggressively. Also great as a back off set after the main work is done. Can get a conditioning stimulus and some left/weaker side reps! Put them into your schedule ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
