Cold, grey, and one of those mornings where you wake up feeling slightly like a cold might be lurking…
so I made a sensible decision and cancelled a planned 7-mile hike.
Old me might have pushed on regardless — current me knows better 😉
Mike and I still took the dog out, but just for a gentle mile. Fresh air, slow pace, no pressure — and honestly, it’s helped far more than forcing anything would have.
It felt like a good reminder that movement doesn’t have to be big or impressive to be supportive. Sometimes the right choice is less, not more.
