Be the change that you want to see if the world is a saying that we have all heard. It’s easy when you hear this statement to internalize that you are just one person and what difference could you possibly make. My argument to that would be that exact thought is what keeps the world from changing.
We are all just one person, but our actions are capable of inspiring, helping, leading, and motivating everyone within our sphere of influence. It is our job only to increase the size of that sphere and to practice what we preach, lead by example, and quite simply be transparent about the struggles that we have gone through in addition to how we got to where we are today.
All it takes is to inspire change in one or two people who then go on to do the same in others to make a difference in our communities.
If multiple communities then did the same then we are on the way to seeing a change in the world.
Striving for excellence, honesty, and integrity are hard traits to come by. If you are already living a lifestyle the exemplifies those traits then you are already doing the hard part, the next step is just helping someone up with you.
You don’t have to be perfect to create change. You just have to show up and be willing to grow and grow with others.
The results of your hard work, dedication, and continued growth will speak loud enough for most people in the room to listen.
