You know when you go to a networking event and it’s like… everyone’s there to sell something, but no one’s actually there to buy?
Everyone’s got something. Everyone’s talking. Everyone’s kind of waiting for their turn.
And it just becomes… I don’t know… it doesn’t really work.
Because if everyone’s selling and no one’s buying, nothing actually happens. It’s just people talking.
I think groups can turn into that really easily.
It just becomes people posting what they’re doing, what they’re offering, what they’ve built… but not really engaging, not really looking for anything, not really connecting.
And then it kind of feels like nothing’s moving.
It’s not that it’s pointless… it’s just the dynamic is off.
So I think a better way to use this is more like—
What are you actually working on right now?
What do you actually need?
Where are you stuck?
Not just what you’re selling.
Because this only works if people are actually in it… not just dropping something in and then disappearing.
Anyway, just something I’ve been noticing.
