🌙HONOUR YOUR SEASONS, BEAUTIFUL WOMAN
For years, I called myself lazy.
If I couldn't produce as much.
If I wasn't feeling inspired.
If I wanted to rest instead of push.
I judged myself.
I thought something was wrong with me.
Then I realised something that changed everything.
Women are not designed exactly like men.
Our bodies move through hormonal cycles that can influence our energy, emotions, focus, and creativity. We are not necessarily resetting every 24 hours in the same way. Many of us experience different rhythms throughout the month.
Instead of forcing myself to perform at the same level every single day, I began listening to my body.
And something beautiful happened.
I stopped feeling guilty.
I gave myself grace.
During the quieter days before my cycle, I allow myself to slow down, reflect, journal, pray, and reconnect with myself. I no longer see rest as falling behind. I see it as preparation.
Then, when my energy naturally returns, I create with everything I've got.
I teach.
I write.
I record.
I build.
I pour into my mission with a full heart.
Ironically, giving myself permission to rest has made me far more productive than trying to force myself every day.
There is wisdom in honouring your own rhythm.
Not every day is meant for blooming.
Some days are for planting.
Some are for growing.
Some are for harvesting.
And some are simply for resting beneath the soil, preparing for the next season.
Give yourself the same compassion you so freely give to everyone else.
Your body is not working against you.
It may simply be asking you to listen.
