1. Who You Are (Character & Values) My name means “like the moon” in Swahili. To be a light in the darkness. That’s who I’ve always been from my smile to my warm and bright personality. I’m a social butterfly that, in the last few years, loves to sit back and energize often. Others around tend to call me ambitious, wise, inspiring, and thoughtful. Self care is a value and lifestyle for me. 2. What You Do (Career or Calling) I get the honor of helping women improve their confidence and quality of life through women’s health physical therapy services. Most of the women I serve are learning how to stop leaking when they cough, have pleasurable sex without pain, or optimize their body for labor and a swifter postpartum recovery. 3. What You Enjoy (Hobbies or Joyful Practices) Being in nature grounds me! I love being outside on walks when it’s atleast 40 degrees outside (I live in MI 😩) Reading in my hammock. Working out 5-6days/week; weights, yoga, cycling, dancing, and incline walks. ADVENTURE and SLOW travel; I typically go somewhere for a weekend bimonthly and then a bigger 3-4week trip once a year. Being around my friends and family fills my cup. 4. What “Kept” Means to You Define “Kept” in your own words. Is it peace? Partnership? Provision? Purpose? Tell us what it looks and feels like for you. Kept means maintained with love. When I think of being maintained, I think of being regularly checked on emotionally, provided the tools and resources needed for me to show up at my best, and direction given that allows me to exist and be as the woman I am supposed to be vs taking on the masculine roles I was never designed for. 5. Your Dream Date or Dream Wedding Dream date would be totally unplanned by me of course. But he would have observed me so well, that he hit all the points! It would be during my ovulation time, I’d be sent a wardrobe stylist, a MUA, and a hair stylist to get ready for a cute day outside in the sun in some cute flats or gym shoes bc I’m hoping we’d do a lot of walking and talking in the sun. Then he’d have heels for me to transfer into for a nice dinner and dance date at a restaurant that sexy and has amazing hospitality and quiet enough for us to talk and be cuddled up next to eachother.

I am a woman who embodies trust, loyalty, femininity and commitment as a birthright. I love God, family, those who show up as friends and above all else myself. What You Do (Career or Calling) As a professional, I am a certified occupational therapy assistant. I get to serve people in their rehabilitative process, helping them to restore their independence and/or get back to life in meaningful ways. I am also currently in grad school studying educational psychology (learning how people learn) so that I can impact the systems in which people learn and provide tools to make the learning process more efficient. I’m here in the Keptie Academy because I feel called to marriage (a whole ministry) and want to be sure I’m pro AND prepared. I have a passion to represent family as a unit and what healthy marriage looks like. 3. What You Enjoy (Hobbies or Joyful Practices) I love LOVE hiking and being outdoors. So much so that I left home (Connecticut), to be in a warmer climate (Texas) so that I could have more forgiving weather to be outside during the winter months. I love to travel, I love adventure, I love to read, I enjoy time with God, I love wellness content, I love events that require me to dress up. 4. What “Kept” Means to You Being kept means feeling safe. It’s a space where I can relax, feel at ease, I can trust beyond myself, I can be soft, I know that I’m covered. 5. Your Dream Date or Dream Wedding My ideal date/wedding feels dreamy. The air around me is floral, fresh, filled with love, patience, admiration, support, adoration. The day flows like a melody. The feeling is one of being on cloud 9. There is genuine exchange between me and my partner. We both feel as though we are getting exactly what we’ve prayed for. Both look good, smell good and have an indescribable radiance that comes just from being around each other and it’s noticeable by anyone witnessing.

1. Who You Are (Character & Values) I embody a sense of safety and comfort to those who are in my presence. I believe in living boldly, and I am the biggest motivator to those who tell me their dreams.and goals. I stand for honesty, loyalty, determination and humility, and promote strong relationships between men and women while also advocating for the vulnerable and less fortunate. Some of my qualities I’m proud of is my passion for the arts, ability to feel empathy, and my creative spirit. 2. What You Do (Career or Calling) My 9-5 has me as an Accounting Consultant, a sort of nomad way of working. I like the freedom and flexibility but I also believe my true calling is to motivate and inspire people, especially Black women, through art. 3. What You Enjoy (Hobbies or Joyful Practices) What fills your cup? My passion is singing, writing songs and listening to music. I also perform spoken word. I enjoy hosting events and going to concerts and on cruises and trying new restaurants. I have my hands in a lot of things as I am; an internet radio host, Chapter VP in my sorority, pursuing my DBA in Entrepreneurship, Creator of 2 podcasts, an event planning business, and a video editing business. 4. What “Kept” Means to You To me, kept means secure, locked in but in a good way. To be kept is to be taken care of from the heart, not out of necessity. 5. Your Dream Date or Dream Wedding My dream wedding is whimsical and romantic with an urban twist. Ice sculptures align the room, our favorite food is served, some of our favorite artists perform, and my groom and our wedding party are for all creative shenanigans.
