"When We Let Go, It All Gets Done" - Lao Tzu
There's a good chance you’ve been carrying the world on your shoulders. Trying to fix it. Control it. Think your way through it. But deep down… you’re tired.
Here’s what most of us never get taught:Surrender is not weakness. It’s the most powerful move you’ll ever make. Because when you finally let go... of the grip, the fear, the overthinking.. we finally stop forcing life, and you start flowing with it.
And that’s when everything starts to move exactly as it's supposed to
1. Stop Fighting What Is
Most suffering comes from resisting reality. I love the quote by Byron Katie (author of "Loving What Is) that says "If you argue against reality.. you will suffer"
You don’t like what happened. You don’t like how they acted. You don’t like the pace, the path, the unknown. But the more you fight the moment, the more power you give to what you don’t want.
Letting go means saying: “This is what’s here right now. I may not like it, but I’m no longer fighting it.” From that place.. clarity returns, always.
2. Return to the Witness
You are not your thoughts. You are not your emotions. You are the one who sees them.
Every time you drop into that witnessing awareness, you untangle from the chaos.
Try this right now: Close your eyes and watch your thoughts like clouds passing through the sky. Don’t chase them. Don’t judge them. Just witness.
That’s freedom. That's where healing and liberation begin.
3. Let Life Lead for a While
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to force the outcome. You don’t need to hustle your way into worthiness. I love the quote "If you want to live in magic, follow the energy".. How often do we experience such incredible bliss and experiences and people when we simply let go of our expectations of what WE think it should look like?
Let go... not of effort, but of attachment. Show up. Do your part. But release the need to control the results.Life moves faster when you're not in the way.
Here’s What Happens When You Let Go (at least in my experience):
- Stress dissolves.
- Creativity flows.
- The right people, answers, and opportunities begin to appear.
- You begin to trust yourself again and something greater guiding it all.
This isn’t magic. It’s alignment. It’s what happens when the mind softens and the soul takes the wheel.
My final thoughts on this beautiful Friday afternoon:
Letting go doesn’t mean you quit. It means you stop carrying what was never yours to begin with.
You don’t need more pressure. You need more presence.
Breathe. Trust. Release the grip. Let it come to you.
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” – Lao Tzu
I am with all of you on this path of powerful surrender.
Let me know how you plan on letting go more.. I want to hear about it and help with this season of surrender 🙏
