I’ve seen that there are many people here that want to get into RP and there are a few different ways that you can!
COLLEGE
There are degrees in Radiation Protection / Health Physics. There is a wide variety to pick from but here are a few examples:
State Technical College of Missouri:
Associates of Applied Science in Nuclear Technology - Radiation Protection
(In-Person)
This is where I went to school, however I went through the Reactor Operations degree path but still got my RP quals while I was there.
Thomas Edison State University
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Radiation Protection/Health Physics
(100% Online)
Colorado State University
Bachelor of Science in Health Physics

PROS:
✅Helpful in getting full time in-house positions
✅Helpful in getting in-house supervision and management positions
✅Good for people right out of high school who want to go to college
CONS:
❌Does not guarantee a job
❌Costly
❌Not required to work in radiation protection
