The Hidden Reason So Many Christian Women Feel Exhausted Even When They’re “Doing Everything Right”
There’s a difference between being calm… and your body actually feeling safe.
For years, I could hold it together in public.
I could homeschool my kids, build a business, serve people I loved and still smile while my nervous system was screaming underneath it all.
And then something small would happen.
One child arguing.
A mess I didn’t expect.
One more demand when I already felt stretched too thin.
My reaction would rise so fast it shocked even me.
Not because the moment itself was huge… but because my body was carrying pressure I didn’t know how to release.
That’s one of the hardest things for high-capacity Christian women to recognize.
You can love Jesus deeply… read Scripture faithfully… pray sincerely…
…and still have a body that stays braced for impact.
Most women don’t realize how much “little t” trauma, chronic stress, disappointment, pressure and over-responsibility have trained their nervous system to stay on high alert.
So they mistake: Hyper-vigilance for discernment. Overthinking for wisdom. Striving for stewardship.
But eventually the cracks show.
In relationships.
In decision-making.
In the ability to actually enjoy the life they worked so hard to build.
That’s why the daily, weekly & monthly rhythm inside our community matters so much.
Not because we’re trying harder to become peaceful women…
but because we’re learning how to stop living in constant internal pressure while still carrying the responsibilities God has entrusted to us.
Peace is not pretending everything is okay.
Peace is what happens when your body, soul & spirit stop fighting each other.
