Good morning, friends, and Happy Sunday!
There is something special about Sunday morning.
For me, it’s a reminder to slow down, put everything else aside for a little while, and remember what matters most.
Today is the Lord’s Day.
It’s a day to gather with our church family, worship God, hear His Word, pray together, fellowship with one another, and then hopefully spend some time resting and enjoying the people God has placed in our lives.
Whatever happened this past week, today is a new day.
Bring your praises to church.
Bring your worries.
Bring your questions.
Bring your tired heart.
Just come and worship Him.
📖 Today’s Scripture
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!”
Psalm 95:6 ESV Bible Translation - ESV English Standard Version.pdf
I love that invitation.
Come.
God doesn’t tell us we have to have everything together before we worship Him.
Sometimes we walk into church full of joy and ready to praise.
Other Sundays we walk through those doors carrying things nobody else knows about.
Either way, we come.
And I think that’s important.
❤️ Something on My Heart This Sunday
If you’re able to go to church today, go.
Take your family.
Bring your Bible.
Sing even if you don’t think you can sing.
Listen to the message.
Pray for your pastor.
Shake somebody’s hand.
Encourage the person sitting near you.
And if you notice somebody sitting alone, go speak to them.
You never know what someone had to overcome just to walk through those church doors this morning.
Then when church is over, enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Have lunch with the family.
Spend time with the kids and grandkids.
Visit some friends.
Sit on the porch.
Take that Sunday afternoon nap. 😊
Enjoy some good food and good conversation.
Worship God, love people, and get some rest.
🙏 Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for waking us up and giving us another Sunday.
Thank You for the privilege of gathering together to worship You.
Prepare our hearts this morning.
Remove the distractions and help us focus on You.
Bless our pastors, teachers, worship leaders, volunteers, and everyone serving in churches today.
Speak to us through Your Word.
Lord, comfort those who are grieving.
Strengthen those who are tired.
Provide for those who are struggling.
Bring peace to those who are worried.
Protect our children and grandchildren.
Strengthen our marriages and families.
And please be especially close to the person who walks into church today carrying a burden nobody else can see.
Help us leave church different than when we walked in.
Then bless our time with family and friends this afternoon. Give us laughter, good conversations, fellowship, and true rest.
Most importantly, help us keep Jesus at the center of everything.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
💬 I’d love to hear from you this Sunday.
What are you thanking God for today?
Maybe it’s your church.
Your pastor.
Your spouse.
Your children or grandchildren.
Your health.
An answered prayer.
Time with family.
Or simply another morning to wake up and say,
“Thank You, Lord.”
Share yours below. ❤️
And if you need prayer today, leave your request too. You don’t have to share all the details.
You can simply say, “God knows.”
He does.
⛪ Have a beautiful and blessed Lord’s Day, friends!
Go worship.
Take your Bible.
Love your church family.
Enjoy Sunday dinner.
Spend time with the people you love.
Get some rest.
Thank God for His goodness.
And remember that when Monday morning comes, the same God we worship today will walk with us into the new week.
🙏 KEEP PRAYING.
❤️ KEEP LOVING PEOPLE.
📖 KEEP YOUR BIBLE OPEN.
🙌 KEEP WORSHIPING.
TODAY IS THE LORD’S DAY. LET’S BE GLAD WE GET TO WORSHIP HIM TOGETHER.
