Good morning, friends, and Happy Sunday!

There’s something special about Sunday morning. A chance to slow down, get ready for church, gather with other believers, and turn our attention back to the One who has carried us through another week.

Whatever this past week looked like, today I’m thankful that we can come before God just as we are.

Today is the Lord’s Day. Let’s worship Him.

📖 Today’s Scripture

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the LORD!’”

Psalm 122:1 ESV

I love that verse because church should never just be another thing on our Sunday schedule.

It’s a blessing to worship together.

To sing together.

To pray together.

To hear God’s Word.

To encourage one another.

And sometimes simply to sit beside someone who needs to know they aren’t walking through life alone.

❤️ A Sunday Reminder

If you’re able to go to church this morning, go.

Take your Bible.

Take your family.

Pray for your pastor.

Speak to somebody you don’t normally talk to.

And if you see someone sitting alone, go sit with them or simply say hello.

You never know how much that small act of kindness might mean.

Then after church, enjoy your Sunday.

Have lunch with the family.

Spend time with the kids and grandkids.

Visit some friends.

Watch a little football. 🏈

Take that Sunday afternoon nap. 😊

And give yourself permission to rest.

🙏 Let’s Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for another Sunday and another opportunity to worship You.

Prepare our hearts as we gather in churches today. Bless our pastors, teachers, worship leaders, volunteers, and church families.

Comfort those who are hurting. Strengthen those who are tired. Provide for those who are struggling. Protect our children and grandchildren, and strengthen our marriages and families.

Help us slow down today, enjoy the people we love, and be thankful for the blessings You have given us.

Most importantly, keep our hearts close to Jesus and help us carry what we hear in church today into the way we live tomorrow.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
