One of my favourite things about affiliate marketing on Skool is that once you’ve made a genuine recommendation, Skool takes care of tracking what happens next.
But there’s one detail that matters.
The click matters.
If I’m talking with a friend or client and there’s a community I genuinely think would serve them, I don’t want to simply tell them the name and send them off to search for it.
I want to give them my affiliate link and make it easy for them to click straight through.
That click is what connects my recommendation to their account.
And because Skool uses last-touch attribution, I want to be intentional about that final step.
Someone can hear about a community from me, think, Oh, that sounds perfect, and then go search for it themselves through Skool Discovery or click through from the Skool community owner’s profile.
If Growth Boost is turned on for that community, that can mean the attribution goes to Skool instead of the person who actually made the recommendation.
That’s an important little detail when we’re talking about building affiliate income through relationships.
Because this is the kind of affiliate marketing I want us learning inside KINGDOM PEACE & PROSPERITY.
We’re not tossing random links at strangers and hoping someone buys something.
We’re getting to know each other.
We’re discovering resources, communities and offers we genuinely value.
And when a conversation naturally brings someone to mind who could benefit from one of them, we can make the introduction AND use the affiliate system Skool has already built for us.
That means a simple recommendation today has the potential to become affiliate income later if that person becomes a paying member.
And that changes the way I think about affiliate marketing.
It becomes less about “What can I convince someone to buy?”
And much more about, “Who do I know who would genuinely benefit from this?”
I think that’s a conversation worth having.
Do you intentionally use your affiliate link when you recommend another Skool community or do you sometimes forget and just tell people where to find it?
P.S. Affiliate Marketing on Skool #2: Skool uses last-touch attribution, so when you personally recommend a community, send your affiliate link and encourage the person to enter through that link. That click is what gives you the referral attribution. 💚
