Check-In Call is happening in 5 days
Challenge 4: 24 hour fast
Anyone want to join in a group fast? Im thinking start Thursday evening to Friday. From my experience in the past, always found it more soothing when I know others are doing it too. Post a comment if you're in.
September 25th Call
A beautiful conversation with Chris and I, absolutely love the time and hope you guys get something out of it. Perhaps we should do a individual call with one man a week? If you haven't yet, would love to see some more shares on the community, those prompts are at the bottom of each weeks challenges. Hope all of you are well!

Sit Spot
There is a bit of an overlap here with mind, spirit and nature skills. A sit spot comes from coyote mentoring and teaching people how to be in nature, to observe, to listen and to see what else arises. It is a bit like meditation, and can be much deeper, depending on how long you can do it for. For example a vision quest is doing this for days with no food and just water. This is a massive rite of passage and intense experience. A sit spot can be as little as 15 minutes to more than an hour (if you have time). It is also commonly in the same area as you can observe how your nature spot changes with the seasons. What birds do you notice? What trees do you notice? How can still can you be in nature? Even as that bug crawls up your arm or your back starts to ache? What wildlife is approaching near you in your stillness and silence? How does the sun and clouds look right now? What can you smell in the air? Use all of your senses, sight, smell, touch, hearing....how far can you hear? What are the distance noises you can pick out? Or the tiny ones right next to you? Do that with sight and smell as well. These are all of the beautiful things to appreciate and enjoy! Now, what about the next ones: What thoughts are piercing your mind? What fears or anxieties are stinging your mind like a mosquito? Listen to those whispers before they become screams. Pay attention to what your bod, heart and mind is telling you!

September 18th Call Recording
Had a beautiful conversation with Josh! Hope you can all get something from it as well. Grateful for the time. For those of you who did not or haven't made it yet, you are very much part of the group and the door is always open! Step back in when you can and share a little on the community space, it helps the other men more than you know. Not about perfection, it is about sharpening, presence, honesty and growth. Thank you! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Nk1GPMYrVwlAekS94xwIbTgv-py4Iu2p/view?usp=drive_link

Weeks 2-3 Checkin
Last week I meditated 15 mins/day for most of the week. Really helped clear my mind, reset my emotions and ground my state. The workouts suffered since I got sick and just didn't have the energy, tried to get out for some sprints and walking at least though. This week I initiated a call with my sister and brother-in-law, inviting them to move their family from Hawaii to our home in Michigan as an extended sabbatical/ financial launchpad. I have only just realized how much of a difficult financial position they are in right now, partially as a result of my sister having her 3rd child and being unable to work full time. But they have also been chronically living beyond their means. Naturally, this also opened up other difficult conversations between my Mom (who has been supplementing their income for a few months), my wife (her concerns about how it will all play out), and I about how to best help them, our boundaries, etc. I've held a strong frame of support through most the conversations, in part because I hold gratitude for all the times I was similarly supported by family, friends, and strangers over the years.
