I’m about to write an email to my clients. Not asking for anything just something that adds value. Then I have some cards I need to write. And some texts to send. Again not asking for anything. Not mentioning I have availability. Just a happy birthday card and thank you for coming in. Then I have a text to send because I have a client that lost a dog. And I found a painter that does amazing Portraits of dogs. So her friends and I are going to pitch in to get this done for her as a random surprise gift. How will you connect with your clients beyond just exchanging what you do for money. A follow up call just to make sure they are happy. A referral to a great restaurant for their anniversary. Checking in on them after a trip. Checking in on them after a funeral. Or sending a card for condolences. Do the things that are unscalable for better connection and community with clients.

When you’re feeling overwhelmed when you’re feeling tired or you have a ton on your plate, that is not a time to keep putting yourself off. That is the time to make yourself a priority, is the time to do something that fuels your energy, that that’s the time to rest and recharge. Just like we always suggest to our clients, we wanna make sure that we are making ourselves a top priority, not to pamper ourselves, but to make sure that we’re showing up as our best for everybody else in our life. The quickest way to burn out and to losing your passion for what you do is to make the business a priority instead of your own energy! So go get a massage and make it regular, do something that everyday that gives you energy, move your body, stretch, exercise, go for a walk. Do something that brings you joy and lights you up! And make sure you’re not running around on empty all the time
