Still in Shock at What God Did Yesterday
Hi all, I wanted to share a quick testimony about God's provision that happened this week. I work in tech sales, and quarter-end is always stressful, especially when it hasn’t been a great quarter. Last year I was the top corporate sales rep in my company, so having a tough quarter hit me hard since I’ve always wrestled with tying my identity to performance. Heading into the final two weeks, I had two huge deals that looked like they had almost no chance of closing. Honestly, I was hesitant to even pray about it, I mean does the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob really care about sales deals? If he does, what if my competitor is also a Christian praying for the same thing? Still I shared it with my Church recovery group and with my wife who all laid hands on me and prayed. Fast forward to the very last day of the quarter (8/29)… both deals came in within an hour of each other. I’m still in shock. Whether those prayers were answered in the way I hoped or not, God is still good but if it wasn’t for the faith of others, I don’t think I would have had the faith to ask Him for help. My prayer is that this community becomes a place where we can lay “digital hands” on each other, and borrowing each other's faith as God covers us with His favor, protection, and provision through the fullness of our inheritance in Christ (Eph. 2:6-7). To God Be The Glory, Tolu
Dream big!
In the context of dreaming big and paraphrasing a good friend of mine; “If you can do it yourself, what’s God’s part in the story?” Dare to dream big friends! The kind of dreams God has for you!

Peace beyond understanding
Hey Everyone, Happy Wednesday! I just had to share this; Yesterday was a day of note. I woke up to a couple text messages from my tenant buyers and my partner in Decatur about the property that we'd just sold. They moved in and contrary to what I'd been told, there were a raft of issues with the mechanics. Along with neighbors to the property who have caused endless issues because we wouldn't sell the house to them being a nuisance. My norm would've been flat out anxiety. Instead, I sat and quieted my heart, engaged the Father and asked for His perspective on it. The peace was unreal. And He gave me strategy and assurance it'd be ok. Then, in a momentary lapse of concentration, I reversed into another car at my kiddo's school in the parking lot just before her volleyball game. Again, my norm would have been self flagellation, guilt, shame and frustration. My Wife couldn't believe the lack of emotional response that I typically would experience. His peace beyond understanding set in. A few core truths that have helped ground me in this: - He works all things to the good of those who love Him - He keeps him in perfect peace whose heart is set on Him (Which I'd woken up to going through my mind that morning) What a good God we serve!

No testimony without the test
Good morning everyone, Happy Wednesday. I just had to share this. We had the most HECTIC 2 days on Sunday and Monday. This really was where the rubber met the road in terms of this journey of renewing my mind. And then the Lord broke through: I’ve been having a couple challenges in our real estate business. Then, to cut a long story short, I had someone threaten to open a case against me. They had no leg to stand on but it was super stressful. Then we’ve had 2 people delayed in paying which has only added to the stress. Edwina had an encounter with another parent which was really unnecessary and unpleasant. Well, that Monday morning Edwina and I spent time leaning into the Lord, FIGHTING for peace. He reminded me of Exodus 4:4 "The Lord will fight for you. You have only to hold your peace." Then Tuesday morning I felt like the Lord revealed what happened and 1 Peter 5:6-9 explains it perfectly. Here's what it says: 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm We both humbled ourselves to address the situations with the respective people and engaged them with humility. We then cast our anxiety onto Jesus, walking out in the peace He gives. We were vigilant to the enemy’s tactics. We stood steadfast holding on with faith. 3 things happened after this: 1. The challenges were resolved for both Edwina and I with the respective people. 2. The 2 buyers who haven’t been paying each came back independently of their own accord tell me their plan to pay, which will be soon. 3. We received a significant tax refund check in the mail. All in one day! God is indeed our vindicator, our strong tower and refuge. Thank you Jesus! I hope this encourages you today!
The Transforming Power of Gratitude
🧠 1. Cognitive Rewiring Gratitude shifts your mental focus from lack to abundance. This reframing: - Reduces negative thought loops - Enhances optimism and resilience - Promotes healthier decision-making According to Psychology Today, gratitude helps rewrite our internal narratives, turning disempowering stories into empowering ones. This shift alters how memories are encoded and integrated into our identity. 💓 2. Emotional and Physical Healing Gratitude activates brain regions linked to reward, fairness, and moral cognition. But it goes deeper: - It may trigger epigenetic changes—modifying cellular memory and promoting healing from trauma - It engages the cardiac nervous system, amplifying whole-body transformation This means gratitude isn’t just psychological—it’s physiological. 🛌 3. Improved Health and Longevity Harvard research shows gratitude is linked to: - Better sleep - Lower depression risk - Improved cardiovascular markers - Even longer life expectancy—participants with high gratitude scores had a 9% lower risk of death over four years 🔄 4. Spiritual Renewal From a Hebraic perspective, gratitude is a form of hodu—a deep acknowledgment of divine provision. It aligns the heart with trust, humility, and covenantal awareness, which renews not just the mind but the spirit. 🧩 Final Thought Gratitude is like a spiritual and neurological reset button. It doesn’t ignore pain—it reframes it. It doesn’t deny lack—it magnifies provision. And in doing so, it renews the mind by anchoring it in truth, presence, and possibility.
