Welcome to a supportive educational community for parents and caregivers who want practical help with behavior, communication, routines, transitions, school collaboration, and independence. START HERE 1. Introduce yourself in the Introductions category. 2. Choose one behavior, routine, communication, or independence goal. 3. Use Ask the Community when you want peer ideas or general educational guidance. 4. Share every small success in Wins & Progress. INTRODUCE YOURSELF • What should we call you? • What is your child’s age range? This is optional. • What is one strength you appreciate about your child? • What is one family goal you would like to work on? PROTECT YOUR FAMILY’S PRIVACY Do not post your child’s full name, school, address, medical records, educational documents, provider information, or other identifying details. Photos are optional and should only be shared when you have permission. COMMUNITY SCOPE This community provides parent education, practical tools, peer encouragement, resource-navigation education, and scheduled group support. It does not provide private one-on-one coaching, individualized treatment or behavior plans, crisis intervention, or emergency support. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis professional. We’re glad you’re here. Choose one small step and begin.

Introduce Yourself Here
We’re glad you’re here. Copy these prompts into a comment or create your own introduction post: 1. What should we call you? 2. What is your child’s age range? This is optional. 3. What is one strength you appreciate about your child? 4. What is one behavior, routine, communication, transition, or independence goal you want to work on? 5. What would make this community especially useful to you? Please use first names only and do not share your child’s school, address, medical or educational records, or other identifying information. A diagnosis is never required to participate. After you introduce yourself, welcome another parent and like a contribution that helped you feel less alone.

How to Ask for Support Here
Use this simple format whenever you ask the community for ideas. It helps other parents understand the situation without requiring you to share private information. MY GOAL What behavior, routine, communication, transition, or independence skill are you working on? WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE What usually happens immediately before the difficult moment? WHAT I NOTICE Describe only what you can see or hear. Avoid labels and assumptions. WHAT I HAVE TRIED What support, visual, script, choice, timer, routine, or smaller step have you already tried? MY QUESTION What is the one question you would like the community to help you think through? WEEKLY COMMUNITY RHYTHM • Monday: Choose one small family goal • Tuesday: Learn one C.A.L.M. strategy • Wednesday: Answer the community question or poll • Thursday: Share an implementation check-in • Friday: Celebrate a small win or useful discovery Please like posts and comments that genuinely helped you. This recognizes helpful contributions and allows members to progress through the community levels. REMEMBER Protect your child’s identity. Community responses are peer support and general education—not diagnosis, individualized treatment, a private behavior plan, or emergency assistance. You are never required to share a diagnosis or personal records to participate.

Say It, Then Pause
Did you practice giving one short direction or transition message—and then allowing time to process it? Example: “First backpack, then snack.” Instead of immediately repeating or expanding the message, pause and notice what happens. Action: Complete one sentence: - I practiced saying… - After I paused, I noticed… - Next time, I may adjust… Share only a general, privacy-safe observation.

Bring One Clear Question
Use C.A.L.M. to prepare for your next school or provider conversation: - Connect: Begin with the shared goal. - Assess: Organize what you have observed and what remains unclear. - Lead: Ask one specific question. - Maintain: Write down the agreed next step and when it will be reviewed. Example: “What support is being used consistently, and how will we know whether it is helping?” Action: Share one general question you want to remember—without including names, schools, providers, diagnoses, or records. This is educational group support, not legal, clinical, or individualized advice.***
