Say It, Then Pause
Did you practice giving one short direction or transition message—and then allowing time to process it? Example: “First backpack, then snack.” Instead of immediately repeating or expanding the message, pause and notice what happens. Action: Complete one sentence: - I practiced saying… - After I paused, I noticed… - Next time, I may adjust… Share only a general, privacy-safe observation.

Bring One Clear Question
Use C.A.L.M. to prepare for your next school or provider conversation: - Connect: Begin with the shared goal. - Assess: Organize what you have observed and what remains unclear. - Lead: Ask one specific question. - Maintain: Write down the agreed next step and when it will be reviewed. Example: “What support is being used consistently, and how will we know whether it is helping?” Action: Share one general question you want to remember—without including names, schools, providers, diagnoses, or records. This is educational group support, not legal, clinical, or individualized advice.***

Behavior & Hard Moments
Thursday Implementation Check-In Think about one difficult moment from this week without sharing private details. Complete any of these sentences: - The strategy I tried was… - Something I noticed was… - One part that felt difficult was… - My next adjustment will be… Success does not have to mean the difficult moment disappeared. A small win might be using fewer words, noticing an early sign, staying consistent, or identifying what to try differently. Share one privacy-safe observation below. **This group cannot provide crisis intervention, treatment, or individualized behavior plans.**

C.A.L.M. Tip: Make the Next Step Clear
Before a difficult transition, try the C.A.L.M. Framework: - Connect: Use a calm voice and acknowledge that the activity is ending. - Assess: Consider what your child knows about what is ending and what happens next. - Lead: Give a warning, a simple First–Then statement, and one limited choice. - Maintain: Keep your language consistent, notice what happens, and adjust as needed. Example: “Two more minutes, then the tablet is finished. First shoes, then music. Red shoes or blue shoes?” This may not prevent every difficult moment. The goal is to provide clearer information and a repeatable process. Action: Choose one upcoming transition and write your First–Then statement below without sharing identifying information.

Routines & Independence
Monday One-Step Family Goal Choose one routine and one small step your child can practice more independently this week. Examples: - Put one item in their backpack - Choose between two shirts - Carry their plate to the sink - Check off one step on a visual routine Complete this sentence: “During ______, we will practice ______ with ______ support.” Keep the goal small enough to repeat. Progress can include attempting the step, accepting support, or communicating a need. Share your privacy-safe goal below—no names, diagnoses, schools, or identifying details.👇
