Most people think recovery is about never thinking about substances again.
That’s not realistic.
What actually changed everything for me was this rule:
👉 “Don’t negotiate with cravings.”
The moment you start negotiating—
“Just tonight”
“I deserve it”
“I’ll control it this time”
—you’ve already lost.
Cravings don’t want logic.
They want delay, distraction, and certainty.
