Welcome to The Profitable Handyman Club! This isn't about how to hang a door or run a saw. You already know how to do the work. This is the business side — pricing, estimating, overhead, and getting paid what your work is actually worth. Introduce yourself, tell us how you charge, how many years you’ve been in business, and the one type of job you’re never sure how to price. I’ll personally point you in the right direction. WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST. THEN: 1. Head to the Classroom and grab the Profitable Handyman Starter Kit — takes 5 minutes, gives you your real numbers instead of a guess. 2. Check the 2nd pinned post for a pricing breakdown to chew on. 3. Stay connected with the Skool app on Iphone or Android, so you don't miss anything. Comment or make a post answering these 3 questions — helps us get to know you and get you out there: 1. Who are you, and what do you do? 2. What's the biggest pain point causing you issues in your business right now? 3. Share a picture of you getting dirty, working hard. Let's build something that actually makes you money.

Things to consider...
How to stay organized... So your a one man show or maybe you also have a helper... and your busy. Great, but your also the one answering the phones, early mornings, and late nights. Getting back to people, booking them in, etc, AND trying to work. Not to mention if you have a employee or helper, keeping them going and producing. This will be sustainable for a bit, but you will never get to leave for a week, or more than a few days before your world you just built starts to crumble. I know this first hand. I did it... Since then I have become more organized, more profitable, and more free time. YES I work early 4:30-6 am start, but I am usually done by 2pm...looking for home, and doing my own shit... Wife is happier, I am around more, and more time to spend with her and the dogs lol How did I do this.... I hired a office admin. Consider this. The admin gets paid say $20 hour, you become more productive, less calls to you, more quality work and time with clients, and your helper becomes productive...aka an asset not an expense. Because you can focus on the tasks of the job and teaching properly, instead of multi tasking. At least do your self a favor, consider it... even part time...to start.

Write Every Estimate Like a Short Story
I used to rush estimates without breaking down each step, and our close rate suffered. Jay advised us to write the entire workflow as a short story beside our Google Sheet. What a difference! Breaking the job into clear steps helps your brain remember how long each one takes, making estimates far more accurate. Thank you, Jay!
