Had a couple customers say no thank you based on price this week and ChatGPT seems to think I’m loosing them in the estimates. Generally I do my estimates with a detailed description of work to be completed, materials with a list and labour cost for the job. But when it’s a bunch of smaller jobs added up the total seems over whelming (I think) ChatGPT suggests breaking out the price of each part to give customer a bit more flexibility especially on jobs which have a bunch of things. What’s the thoughts from this group? I have attached the two estimates in question for context. 1 was demoing and redoing some new front steps and replacing a piece of bead board that was attached to the outside for some reason. 2 was a bunch of different hand rails and grab bars, some on the front steps into concrete. Some on a bathroom for a customers elderly mother. Stuff which is simple but relatively high risk/high risk of call backs. But I strongly think both didn’t pan out because the overall price seemed high
